If one snack stands for Slovakia, it is Horalky: five layers of wafer, peanut cream between them, the edges dipped in cocoa coating. Sedita in Sereď has made them since 1965 and exports to thirty countries, but outside Slovakia and Czechia they are hard to find, and the Amazon bundles are pricey and often stale.
Ours come straight from the Slovak wholesaler with at least four months of shelf life, ten 50 g wafers packed in a padded mailer so nothing crumbles. Light (560 g), so it ships in the lowest EU parcel band — and combines well with a honey jar or tea to fill the parcel.
Store below 25 °C; the coating softens in heat.
Ingredients: wafer (wheat flour, vegetable fats, sugar), peanut cream 28 % (peanuts, sugar, vegetable fat), cocoa coating, emulsifier soy lecithin, salt. Allergens: gluten (wheat), peanuts, soy, milk; may contain hazelnuts and almonds.
