The second bar in Lyra's single-origin line: 70 % dark chocolate made in Nitra from Peruvian cocoa (Marañón region), roasted and stone-ground by the Lyra team themselves. Where the Tanzania is fruity and bright, the Peru is rounder — roasted nut, dried fig and a honeyed sweetness that makes it the more approachable of the two for people new to high-cocoa chocolate.
Lyra has been making chocolate in Slovakia since 2008 and is one of very few Central European makers working bean-to-bar; the bars are listed by Cocoa Runners (UK) and sold in the National Czech & Slovak Museum shop in Iowa. Two ingredients, vegan, gluten-free.
80 g bar in a paper sleeve. Shipped September to April in a padded mailer; great as a box add-on or in our Lyra Origin Trio.
